Porkchop BMX's "Pull Party" allows you to run old school brake levers with a V-brake.
Color: BLACK ANODIZED
Brake levers designed for side pull calipers, cantilever, and U-brakes are all "short pull" levers.
V-brakes require "long pull" levers to work properly. When you try to use a "short pull" lever on a V-brake, your brake lever "bottoms out" on your grip before you are able to fully engage the V-brake caliper.
The solution? The PULL PARTY!
A "doubler" like this is nothing new, but I was surprised at how difficult it was to find one when I went looking. The ones I found were $40+ and only came in black or silver. This was unacceptable so I had my own made. The Porkchop Pull Party is CNC machined from T6-6061 aircraft grade aluminum, anodized in 5 colors, and feature a sealed cartridge pulley bearing.
The Pull Party can also be used with a V-brake lever as a friction reduction device in place of the usual noodle.
Please note the 3rd, 4th, and 5th photos for information on how to install the Pull Party.
Just Awesome! Coming from a BMX background and almost never really ridden v-brakes, I couldn't understand why my brake was working so badly. Then I saw this little guy and learned that the reason was me riding a bmx u-brake lever with a v-brake. I decided to give it a try and the second I finished setting it up, my brake started working perfectly. 'Only' 5 stars just because I can't give 6!
Awesome. Just what is needed to eliminate the long pull. They work great! Great price too!
