Tioga Comp III retro YELLOW LABEL tire with brown SKINWALL and 1st gen logoNOTE: This NOT a gumwall tire. What's the difference? A gumwall tire has a thick coating of butyl over the sidewall which adds 7-9 ounces of weight to the tire. A true skinwall tire like these has a minimal amount of butyl over the casing making for a lightweight tire. How can you tell the difference? Well, weight for one, but also if you can see visible threads from the woven casing showing through the sidewall, it is a skinwall tire. This particular tire is a bit of a hybrid because Tioga has added an additional cut and abrasion resistant layer to the sidewall which has caused some confusion. But this tire only weighs 17 oz which is still 4-5 ounces less than a gumwall tire of the same size. It also has a casing with 60 threads per inch which is not necessary for a gumwall tire.Color: Black tread / Brown SkinwallSize: 20" X 2.125"Inflation: 35-40 psiCasing: 60 TPI

Where are these made? TAIWAN
What color is the sidewall? We have done our best to accurately represent it by taking our own photos. I would call it either a light brown or a dark tan.
How clean is the line where the black tread meets the brown sidewall? They're much better than the current Cheng Shin Comp 3's (which is who made these for Tioga) - but it's not perfect and no we will not try to find a tire that is slightly better than another one.
